This chapter provides information about creating graphs and using the Advanced Graph Assistant tool.
Graphs often convey meaning more clearly than data listed in tabular format. Using the Advanced Graph Assistant, you can easily transform almost any type of data into an effective graph that you can customize to suit your needs. You can link your graph to other resources, filter data to restrict the amount of output, use conditional styling to highlight specific data, and apply custom styling to all aspects of your graph. You can also select from a multitude of graph formats, which include the standard graph types of bar, line, area, pie, scatter, 3D, stock, and special, plus many variations on these types. Additionally, you can use the Advanced Graph Assistant's Advanced Merge functionality to create multiple graphs, nested X-axis graphs, and merged graphs. The Advanced Graph Assistant can be accessed in multiple ways from several WebFOCUS environments, including Managed Reporting and Developer Studio.
